Top 5 Tips to Destress – Mental Health Focus 1

Top 5 Tips to De-stress

It’s not easy for anyone in the world at the moment, and it must be a first world problem that we’re all getting very bored at home. Without our usual outlets and distractions…. Life has been challenging to say the least! No one’s mental health is improving.
These anxiety and stress tips are no particular order as different things will be important to different people.
All these methods will begin to rewire and free up your brain. When we are stressed, the brain fires in a very repetitive and similar way. The key to getting less stressed is to change this by doing something different or thinking in a different way. Now that we know more about quantum neurology, we realise that there is a very good reason that the actions taken in the list below will actually work. Sometimes it’s about connecting the wiring of the brain hemispheres, creating a more balanced brain flow, sometimes about simply changing repetitive thoughts loops.

Stress Tip 1

Change your environment. It really helps to have a shower, go for a short walk, read for 20 minutes or watch TV for a bit. Physically moving is a good thing but also completely diverting your brain by doing something that occupies it in a different way and frees it up. Try this Chi Gong exercise to release stress and grief from your body.

Stress Tip 2

Reach out to an old friend.
It’s especially good to take the time to contact people we haven’t been in touch with for many years, perhaps find them in old emails or online. By reconnecting with people from the past we remember old times, and can access our happy former self .

Stress Tip 3

It’s never too late to start meditating, or if you have a particular belief system spend more time praying and connecting to that.

Don’t think of it as a duty but think of it as more of a relaxing experience. For instance you sit cross-legged on your bed having a nice cup of tea just drifting off to pleasurable meditation.

Stress Tips 4

Do relaxation exercises which includes yoga. There are so many online but any body stretching not only activates the Chinese Meridian  system it will actually stretch your faschia and trigger endorphin release.

Stress tip 5

Exercise.
Two physiological benefits. Firstly anything that gets you out of breath stimulates circulation, therefore relaxing muscles and pumping length removing toxins from your body. Anything with what we call homolateral  movement – that means the arms and legs in opposite directions such as walking or running or swimming, is extremely beneficial for the brains function, helping right – left neuronal coordination.
For those of you in Hong Kong, of course we would recommend that if things are overwhelming talk to our  talented therapists:

Wishing you tranquillity!
