How Does Acupuncture Treatment Work?
In acupuncture theory, all health problems will manifest as imbalances in the body’s flow of electromagnetic energy. Electricity – like, electromagnetic energy moves around the body in specific pathways called meridians.
Acupuncture treatment involves determining which meridians are imbalanced and correcting the flow of energy in the circuit by stimulating specific points on the skin that are connected to the meridians. You can imagine if electrical flow is insufficient, we feel tired, or have underperforming organs, such as the thyroid gland.
As the flow is restored symptoms resolve. Traditionally, acupuncturists treat using needles. However laser, microcurrent and other high-tech devices are the modern, non-needle way to treat.
Diagnosis By Acugraph Laser Acupuncture
The traditional diagnostic method involves feeling the pulse on both wrists to detect meridian imbalances. Today, though, computerized diagnostic equipment does this quickly and more accurately.
The equipment is called Acugraph. An Acugraph test simply requires touching specific points on the hands and feet with a small probe to measure electrical skin resistance. It takes just 2 minutes and you can see the results immediately on a screen.
Computer Program To Measure Our ‘Chi’
Often the Acugraph finds imbalances related to emotional issues. There are several meridians that are typically involved in cases of emotional stress. If you also have pain or other physical ailments such as arthritis, Acugraph will find imbalances related to these too. Accurate detection of meridian imbalances is what makes the treatment so effective.
