American Dr Anne Hilty, PhD, has brought “Acu-Mind” to Hong Kong. Sometimes our patients don’t want ‘regular therapy’, or find it too hard to talk about something. Acu-Mind is a powerful combo therapy for stress, anxiety and more.
What Is Acu-Mind?
It’s a combined treatment of ear acupuncture points and mindfulness techniques, designed to reduce the effects of stress, including anxiety and depression. An hour is spent on treatment, alongside gentle instruction based on the principles of mindfulness.
Acu-Mind Therapy Is Fairly New
The ear-acupuncture protocol was developed in 1974 by Dr Michael Smith, a psychiatrist at Lincoln Hospital in New York, based on the 1972 findings of Hong Kong neurosurgeon Dr Hsiang-lai Wen. The good news is that endorphin happy hormones are released in this process! Read More about Acu-Mind…
French and English speaking, Dr Maggy Dalmat M.Clin Psych, BScPsych (Hons.) combines psychology with hypnotherapy. Clinical Hypnosis uses hypnosis as a tool to access and communicate with our unconscious mind, where all our deeply ingrained habits and patterns are imprinted.
Whether this is stress, over-eating or insomnia, using hypnosis results in quicker effects for the patients (and less cost!). Hypnosis is nothing more than a state of deep relaxation. More info here.
