The word ‘paradigm’ was popularised by Thomas Kuhn in his seminal book structure of Scientific Revolutions in the early 1960s. Since then, considerable developments have taken place, for instance in complex systems and chaos theory, epigenetics and consciousness studies. However, materialist paradigms remain dominant within the Academy and resist any fundamental shift of worldview by ignoring or denying evidence suggesting that there might be a spiritual dimension transcending physical reality. The Scientific and Medical Network has been working at the frontiers of science, consciousness and spirituality for 45 years, and has this year been coordinating a project and producing a report from the Galileo Commission on the emergence of evidence-based spirituality and a post materialist science. Prof Harald Walach will be presenting the findings of this report. We will come together to discuss how best to catalyse a paradigm shift to a wider and deeper view across a number of disciplines.
The Programme
The formal programme will begin with a welcome dinner on Friday evening and run through the weekend until breakfast on Monday. The programme will be made up of talks by confirmed speakers and on the basis of abstracts accepted.

Working With Patient Consciousness, By A Medical Intuitive MD
Health and consciousness have become separated in our current healthcare system. A physician for many years of both research and practicing experience, I describe how to utilize a particular state of consciousness in the healing arena. This is a process whereby the doctor can not only facilitate the bio- mechanical healing of the body, but can also be the midwife into change on the emotional-spiritual level.
This may be the realm of ‘spontaneous remissions’, and of intuitive diagnosis. The science and research to date embraces holographic phenomenon, in no way excluding other models, including non-locality.
Specifically, theory, tools, and methods for working with patient consciousness will be discussed.
The two principals below will be introduced for consideration…along with a clinical example:
’For where two or three are gathered together in My name, there I am among them’.
‘Wu Wei’, the Taoist principal of non-doing.
TOOLS to be discussed:
Presence; distributive Consciousness; shifting form singularity to plurality; changing perspective; coherence of brain hemispheres and brain-heart; coherence of therapist heart waves with both brain hemispheres; intent; allowing; resonance; inductance.
UNDERLYING PREMISE:
We’re inherently attuned to a quantum process and interpret/interface with these surrounding energies unconsciously on a daily basis. The scientific and biological/physiological basis of this, is that our bodies are regulated by and communicate through a light network on a DNA, cellular and enzyme basis. I propose that on an unconscious basis we interface with these light energies as well as those of the natural world, connecting to the light of the Earth’s magnetic field. Forever bathed in this energy, like fish in water, we are unaware of the currents and tides with which we interact.
We need to understand and consciously work with these energies, accepting the interconnectedness of our physical and nonphysical beings, and the resonances that can develop. In former ages, physicians recognized that true wholeness and healing could only be reached through embracing our own wholeness and acknowledging the innate interconnectedness of all things.

The methodology of interpreting and interfacing with the light fields of doctor and patient.
We’ll discuss theory, tools, methods, focussing on recent scientific discoveries such as DNA emitting photons of light, enzymes controlled by light signals, and the heart the centre of the body’s magnetic radiation.
My premise is that without connection to the light field energy of their own hearts ( primarily compassion ) a physician will be pulled out of their centre and inevitably wounded.

Susan is visiting The Centre from Hong Kong, where she lives and works. As a GP she became aware of the light around a person and found that she could tell how a patient was feeling according to the quality of the light around them. She has spent the last 10 years studying how light and colour impacts on the human body and it’s mental, physical and emotional well being.
