She’s also a certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, so she offers a wide toolbox of skills to bring to ensuring your wellness.
What is Applied Kinesiology?
Kinesiology is a powerful healthcare modality that addresses your body movement and energetic systems to improve health, function and performance. It examines the physiological, biomechanical, and psychological dynamic principles and mechanisms of movement. Kinesiologists correct dysfunctions in musculoskeletal issues such as reducing pain, restoring joint function, improving strength, and more. While Kinesiologists often work with post-injury patients in rehabilitation to restore mobility, they are also excellent at reducing the likelihood of injuries occurring in the future because of their role in correcting imbalances and increasing strength. This makes applied Kinesiology very effective in reducing risk factors in workplace health and safety, so it is often included in corporate wellness programs.
“The science of kinesiology builds strong bones, joints and bodies.”
What Will I Experince In My Kinesiology Treatment?
When you have an initial consultation with your Kinesiologist, expect a whole-body examination, including a non-invasive but thorough examination of how your muscles move and your joints flex. You will also be asked questions about your emotional well-being during muscle testing. Your muscle behavior can reveal stress or other responses to emotionally charged issues that help identify an effective course of therapy.
Your Kinesiologist will then be likely to make recommendations about therapy options, which may include dietary changes, exercises to help relieve pain, and suggestions for how you interact with your home or work environment.
Why Is Applied Kinesiology So Powerful?
Kinesiology has roots in Chinese medicine and works directly with the Chinese meridian lines – your bodies energy system. Your Kinesiologist works with you to trigger the self-healing abilities of your body. Kinesiologists assess physical or emotional imbalance through muscle testing and then align and integrate the neurological pathways in the brain and body so that your critical health systems function more harmoniously.
