Christiane Guy
B.S.Sc (OUHK), ISBT Certified Bowen Practitioner-
Advanced Level 1 & 2 (Australia)
Christiane has been living in Hong Kong for more than two decades. She is a skilled and empathetic healer who combines sensitive hands on bodywork with presence in her sessions. Her interest in alternative healing evolved after she started working in one of Hong Kong’s first holistic healing centres in the early 90s. Since that time she has dedicated herself to developing her skills in alternative therapies to assist others in their healing. She has trained in and practiced Craniosacral and Bowen therapy and has found combing both is highly effective than alternative therapies available today.
Bowen Therapy is an innovative natural healing therapy founded by Australian Tom Bowen. Tom Bowen was a gifted, self-taught healer, who used his unique style of bodywork with amazing results in his clinic in Geelong, Victoria for over 30 years until the early 1980s. The Craniosacral therapy is also gentle and combines perfectly with Bowen therapy.
How Combined Therapies work?
Although Bowen and Craniosacral Therapy is very gentle it can bring about profound structural changes. One of the key objectives of these therapies is to allow the body to regain and maintain even weight distribution. Correcting pelvic imbalance is seen as a prerequisite for many other moves, as such discrepancies are often the source of seemly unrelated problems.
Moreover on a broader level, Bowen Therapy creates an environment for hydration, which optimizes the way cells work. This increases the circulation of blood, lymph and vital energy, bringing positive changes to the whole body.
What Bowen and Craniosacral Therapy Can Do For You?
Bowen Therapy has been found to be highly effective in treating a wide range of complaints such as muscular, structural and visceral ailments. It has also been found to bring about significant improvements in posture. Due to its non-invasive nature, Bowen can be applied in cases where many other therapies cannot.
A broad range of muscular and structural complaints can respond extremely well to these combined therapies including:
- Lower, Middle and Upper Back pain and stiffness
- Neck pain and stiffness
- Headaches, migraines, sinusitis and dizziness
- Shoulder and arm problems including Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
- Arthritis
- Fibromyalgia
What Happens During a Session?
You will feel gentle rolling moves are applied to very specific points on muscles, tendons and ligaments. The gentle moves are extremely powerful in allowing muscles to relax and fascia to become more flexible.
These moves are usually applied in sequences. At specific times during treatments ‘rest periods’ may be initiated to allow your body to rest and integrate the changes that are taking place. This is an essential part of the treatment. At this time you can relax and ‘tune in’ to your body.
It can also be applied with profound results for visceral (organ) problems in areas such as the stomach, lungs, kidneys and bladder but also Lymph and circulatory problems.
Bowen Therapy can also be a useful treatment for alleviating symptoms and general wellness management for Cancer patients.
Testimonials
“ Christiane Guy cured me, in a matter of weeks, of chronic postural problems and pain that had affected me since a spinal fusion more than 20 years previously.”

“For me, Christiane’s Bowen treatments work like no other treatments I’ve ever had. I’d suffered from chronic arm and shoulder pain for 10 years, until I had a series of Bowen treatments. Bowen is so gentle, but the pain went away and had stayed away!”
