Claudia de Llano is an educator, orator and healer of the heart. She began her career as an entertainment and corporate publicist consulting celebrities and companies on how best to balance and maximize their public images. Her background in communication and high focus on forming relationships and managing confidentiality led to furthering her studies and receiving a Master of Arts in Psychology. As a therapist, she has helped clients transverse and transcend from stories of pain and challenges to lives of love and fulfillment. Believing that each individual is capable of tapping into his/her true nature, she helps people authentically connect with themselves and the world around them in a whole new paradigm for living.
Claudia joined the field of psychology in 2000 with a desire to bring compassionate and fresh perspective to understanding people through modern psychological views that honoured their cultural backgrounds, spiritual beliefs and ethnic heritage. Her passion is inspiring people to discover their own psychology, helping them to glean answers and strengths she believes already lie within- leading to lives of fulfilment, authenticity, love and passion.
In her clinical practice, Claudia has helped individuals, couples and families move through life challenges including, acculturation, stress, anxiety, depression and personal growth including partnership, career and personal development.
Most recently, Claudia was lead psychology faculty for national university in Woodland Hills, California where she oversaw the Bachelor’s of Psychology and the Master’s of Counselling programs for her campus. Claudia moved on to National University, leaving her Associate Professor role at her Alma Mater, Phillips Graduate Institute where she continued as visiting faculty; and most recently relocated to Sydney, Australia where she hopes to continue to inspire through her teachings. She is well versed in various psychological theories with a focus on family systems, Post Modern Modalities and Psychodynamic frameworks. Her strengths and passion lie in working with Mindfulness, meditation. Cultural diversity awareness, social justice, and empowering minority cultures.
Claudia has also presented on several professional topics including Collaborative practices, Money, Sex, Spirituality and Religion in Clinical Practice, Social Justice in the field of Psychology and Working with Latino populations. Blending psychology with business acumen, she brings a unique perspective of presentations and workshops to the workplace with the aim to help businesses and people to thrive and grow.
